Neeraj is a born and raised Himalayan local. In fact, he is the son in line to become the priest of the family Krishna Temple that traces its father to son lineage for thousands of years.
Their family home and temple compound sits nestled into the side of the mountains above Naggar, the village that once was the capital village of the Kullu Valley, Himachal Pradesh…. the starting point of our Himalayan Program.
Neeraj is a qualified trekking guide and a well respected Brahmin in the local and nearby communities. His knowledge of the mountains is well ingrained and his love for and preservation of the local flora, fauna and culture is exemplified in his conservation organisation, The Ananda Project.
